A girl without a State

This morning I had to relinquish my UT residency. To register my car here, I had to become a DC resident. A little part of me died when I watched my UT drivers licence get put through the shredder. I just gave up my right to vote for a Senator, discounted ski passes, and proof that I used to have long hair.

So, just let me know when you can come visit! We've got a big sleeper sofa and a queen size air matress. We could probably fit someone snuggly between Jon and I, too!

OH. My. Gosh. Whoa. Dest. That’s got “firmly planted (for at least a couple more months)” written all over it. I just can’t believe it. Our lives do seem to parallel each others though, so when do you think you’ll leave? That way I’ll have some idea of when I should start DIing everything. ;)

I'm in the same boat, and it kills me. Although I guess I can still vote. But I don't get a cool license plate that says taxation without representation. Now that would be awesome. Almost worth all that you gave up...
